What we are

Alipur College is a private degree college on Bahawal Canal Road, Alipur, in the south of District Muzaffargarh. We teach undergraduate degree programmes — BS, ADP and B.Ed — under affiliation with the University of Education, Lahore, a public-sector university recognised by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The University examines our students and awards their degrees; the college teaches, supports and follows up until the degree is in the graduate’s hands.

Why the college exists

Before 2019 a student from Alipur, Jatoi, Khangarh or Sitpur who wanted a university degree had to move to Multan, Bahawalpur or Lahore — or not go at all. For many families, and for most daughters, that meant not going. The college was founded by Chaudhry Sultan Mehmood to bring the degree to the doorstep instead: read the Chairman’s message.

What we stand for

Our motto is Learn to Serve, and the inscription on the college crest reads Knowledge Gives Life To The Soul. In practice that means three commitments: a degree that is genuinely recognised, a degree that arrives on time, and a campus where female students and their families feel safe. Our vision, mission and values set this out in full.
