Overview
BS Education at Alipur College is the University of Education, Lahore’s four-year teacher-education degree — and the University of Education is Pakistan’s specialist university for teacher training. The scheme of studies combines foundations of education, child development and educational psychology, curriculum and assessment, teaching methods for school subjects, and supervised teaching practice in real classrooms.
The college has taught education since its first year and its first graduating batches were education students; two of them won University medals. The department places students in local schools for teaching practice, so graduates leave with classroom experience as well as a degree.
Students sit University of Education examinations each semester; the college follows up every result, transcript and degree until it is delivered.
